Cancellation of the event
Dear participants
The situation around COVID-19 has unfortunately not eased as quickly as we had hoped a year ago. Switzerland is again in lockdown, and public and private events are still prohibited. The great uncertainty makes a safe and long-term planning of our event impossible. The protection and hygiene concepts required for international events would reduce our event to such an extent that it would no longer correspond to our vision.
It is therefore with a heavy heart that we have decided to cancel this year’s event. We will resume planning when the situation has eased enough to allow for a 1st International VeloSoleX Event as we envision it. Rest assured: We will stay tuned and keep you informed!
And what do you have to do now? Send us your bank details (IBAN and address) and we will send you back the paid participation fee. Amounts that are not asked to be reimbursed are kindly donated to the club’s treasury to cover our expenses.

On Saturday, June 19, 21, the VeloSoleX Association Switzerland will organize a Corona-compliant Solex ride as an alternative program, to which you are all cordially invited. Participation incl. lunch package is free of charge.

An event organized by fans for fans. A weekend spent talking shop, admiring, discussing, eating and drinking. And of course we will go for a ride together, driving over hill and dale, through woods and meadows, passing magnificent castles and picturesque villages. A challenge for humans and machines.

Solex-Ride on June 20th
9.6.20 The association VeloSoleX Schweiz will organise a Velosolex-ride on June 20th 2020. Meeting at the Saalanlage Münchenbuchsee, departure 09.30h, return approx. 16
Event postponed
30.5.20 Due to the Corana virus the event “VeloSoleX 2020” has to be postponed to next year and is now called “VeloSoleX Schweiz”. Of course we hope that you all will be at the start again! We are looking forward to the event on June 18th – 20th 2021 in Münchenbuchsee.
Corona-virus
23.3.20 We will be watching the developments closely in the next weeks. Should we have to cancel or postpone the event, already paid participation fees will of course be refunded. We will keep you up to date!
Informations
A driving Solex is necessary for the participation at the ride. But our event is for everyone who already knows the Solex or would like to get to know it. During the supporting program there will be much to see.

RIDES
Up to 350 Solex on tour together! From Münchenbuchsee, the approx. 60km route takes us through the regions of Canton Bern and Solothurn. There is plenty of nature, vineyards, modern towns, picturesque villages, castles, nature reserves and baroque towns.
FUN
Besides the excursions there is enough time on Saturday afternoon and Sunday to sit together and chat about, well, Solex of course
In addition, there are various Solex parts sellers and other exhibitions and attractions.
And to top it all off, there will be a raffle on Saturday evening where you can win a Velosolex! This will be completely restored and painted by Martin from “Dreams in Colors”.

ACCOMMODATION
Only five Solex minutes from the venue and a real bargain! For only 20 CHF/EUR per night you can reserve a bed in a dorm of Münchenbuchsee’s troop accommodation. You can also park your Solex in a covered area there.

The organising committee consists of three crazy friends. They have set themselves the insane goal of attracting Solex fans from all over Europe to tiny Switzerland.
Isabelle
– chair, marketing & program –
The versatile self-made Solex rider! She feels at ease both in the artist’s workshop and in the garage. Responsible for imposing order on the chaos.
Helene
– staff, finances & communication –
Mechanics? No idea! She is, however, full of passion for Solex and a big fan. Our greenhorn’s Solex is still sitting in the cellar in single components. There’s a lot to do and a lot to learn.
Michael
– infrastructure, catering & routes –
A solex rider of the second generation with two-stroke oil pumping through his veins. He is responsible for the roof over our heads and the food in our stomaches.
