Roaring engines and a cheering crowd: Rock’n Solex is a student festival that has been making noise for more than fifty years! Save the Date! 4th club ride from the VeloSoleX Switzerland association on September 14th, 2024 The 4th outing of the VeloSoleX Switzerland association will take place on Saturday, September 14th 2024. This time we will visit the canton of Vaud, which offers beautiful routes along Lake Geneva, through picturesque wine-growing villages and past magnificent castles. The starting point will be the pretty village of Allaman. More information will follow in spring.

It all started with a somewhat crazy idea: Thomas from Münsingen dreamed of traveling to Paris to the Eiffel Tower in a small group on his old Velosolex! He even found like-minded people: Ernst “Aschi” from Hettiswil and Monika and Hansueli from Bolligen. In a roundabout way, Katrin and Noldi from Rekingen in Aargau joined us, who had never sat on a Solex before!

The sixth Solex route has now been launched. It leads around part of Lake Lucerne. On the way you pass through the city of Lucerne, through Hergiswil and Stans, take the ferry to Gersau, past Vitznau and Küssnacht.

My name is Rolf. At the “old” age of 72, I bought this old Solex. I drove something like this around 55 years ago, at the age of 14, without having to wear a helmet and without a test. So – there are a lot of old memories attached to it too.
Now I use the “Göppel” (coll. for an old and rattly bike or bicycle) for short distances. Not to forget, just for fun.

This time the 2023 ride took place in Stans. Sandro from “Velosolex Nidwalden” took over the role of the local host. 50 Solex residents from all four language regions of Switzerland plus participants from Germany and France have found their way to beautiful central Switzerland. On May 6th, up to 500 participants will take part in the 7th Cooking Fellows Moped Revival at the Strickhof in Winterthur-Wülflingen.
In addition to the festival and music, there is a signposted ride waiting for you. The approximately 90 kilometer long route leads almost exclusively on side streets with many beautiful panoramas.
All single-seat motorized bicycles with a maximum speed of 30km and 50cm3 (including Velosolex) are permitted on the route 🙂)

The Solex Club Quiberon is hosting its “Balade Costumée” on September 10, 2023.
The big costume ride starts at Place Hoche in Quiberon. 180 disguised Solex will travel a route around the peninsula and compete for the title of winner in various categories.
A good atmosphere and a good mood are guaranteed.

My name is Dédé, I'm 57 years old and I live on Lake Neuchâtel. In 1971 my grandfather, who lived near a gasworks in Solothurn, won a Solex 5000 in the cycling club's lottery.
As soon as my legs were long enough to stand on this Solex, he taught me how to ride it. As a ten-year-old boy, I was lucky enough to spend entire Sundays driving with him on the closed factory roads.

I'm Andy, forty-two, from the region of Solothurn. I've been working on motorcycles for over 30 years now. The Solex have always impressed me, so I finally bought one in the summer of '22, cheap and in poor condition. I had no idea either, but I'm enjoying it more and more and the ugly duckling has become a beautiful swan. On our last club ride we were repeatedly asked about our fluorescent safety vests. Of course we won't keep you waiting, that's why we now have “The luminous vest” in our shop! Be a shining example!
